Welcome to Mowglimoo, a place where creativity, textiles, and mindful stitching come together.

My passion for hand embroidery and textile art is rooted in a love of creating beautiful, meaningful pieces from both new and recycled materials.

Our Story

Welcome to Mowglimoo

I am passionate about textiles and hand embroidery, creating unique pieces inspired by the landscapes and coastlines that surround me. My work combines new and recycled fabrics with beads, buttons, and found materials, celebrating both creativity and sustainability.

Living in Cornwall provides endless inspiration, and I am constantly inspired by the natural beauty of the coast. I enjoy incorporating discarded fishing line, ropes, and other treasures found along the shoreline into my textile art, giving new life to materials that might otherwise be overlooked. The wild beauty, colours, and textures of Dartmoor also influence my work, inspiring many of the patterns, stitches, and stories woven into each piece.

Hand stitching is more than a creative practice for me - it is a mindful and therapeutic process. The gentle rhythm of needle and thread encourages calm, focus, and well being. I believe that stitching can be a powerful tool for supporting mental health, offering moments of creativity, reflection, and connection in our busy lives.

One of my greatest joys is sharing these skills with others is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Through teaching textiles and hand embroidery, I encourage people of all ages and abilities to discover their creativity, learn new techniques, and experience the benefits of mindful stitching themselves. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to develop your skills, I believe everyone can experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of working with textiles

At Mowglimoo, every stitch tells a story - of nature, sustainability, creativity, and wellbeing.

A feather means something different to everyone. A feather is woven into every piece I create. It's meaning is left open to the viewer - each person brings their own story, memory, and interpretation. Sometimes the feather takes centre stage, while other times it is subtly hidden within the embroidery, inviting a closer look and a moment of discovery.

Thank you for visiting Mowglimoo. I hope my work inspires you to see the creative possibilities in everyday materials and look at them in a new way and to discover the simple joy of creating with your hands and the pleasure of mindful making.
